The Silk Road once ran through the territories of the region and the names of cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva inspire travelers willing to visit breathtaking monuments, archaeological sites to explore and learn more about these cultures. Travel experience through well-watered valleys, magnificent snow-capped mountains, vast deserts, visit colorful markets, acquaintance with warm hospitality, local traditions - all this makes the journey through these fabled lands a highly interesting and attractive.
Day 1 Tashkent
Arrival in Tashkent International Airport. At the exit into town meeting with nameplate and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Tashkent.
Second Day Tashkent
Meeting in the hotel lobby with tour manager and start tour of Tashkent. Visit National Museum of History with rich collection of artifacts related to archeology. Meeting with historians / archaeologists. Walking in Hazrati Imam complex in the old part of the city with visits Barak Khan Madrassah, Tilya Sheikh mosque. Overnight in Tashkent.
Third Day Tashkent-Samarkand
Morning train to Samarkand through train "Afrosiyob". Upon arrival tour start from Samarkand. Visit the Institute for Conservation, which has an excellent collection of archaeological materials. Meeting with historians / archaeologists. Then to spot & Museum, the archaeological findings, the magnificent murals visit to 7-8 century AD Overnight in Samarkand include display Afrosiyob.
4th Day Samarkand
Continue tour of Samarkand and visit Shakhi Zinda, Ulugbek Observatory, Registan Square, Gur Emir Mausoleum. Overnight in Samarkand.
5th Day Samarkand Shakhrisabz Termez-
Morning off towards Termez, the southernmost city of the Republic of Uzbekistan. En-route stop in Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of Amir Temur and visit the famous Ak-Sarai (White Palace), Kok Gumbaz mosque. Upon arrival transfer to hotel in Termez. Overnight in Termez.
Day 6 Termez
Visit includes tour of Termez and environment Museum of History in Termez. Then visit
Kara Tepe Buddhist monastery (2nd to 4th centuries) (if special permission is granted, otherwise period as a substitute visit Kampir-Tepa stronghold of the Greek Bactrian 4thc. (- .. 2thc BC)), Fayaz-Tepe Buddhist monastery (1 . - 3rd century), Zurmala Tower (1st c to the 2nd century AD) and Architectural Complex of Khakimi Termezi (10th-15th).. Overnight in Termez.
Day 7 Bukhara, Termez
After breakfast, drive to Bukhara. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel in Bukhara. Overnight in Bukhara.
8th Day Bukhara
Notice in the old city of Bukhara with the museums and mosques in the Citadel Ark Tours (old fortress city) and the Samanid Mausoleum in striking brick designs of the founder of the Samanid dynasty built start. Our visits continue at Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, Kalyan Minaret and Mosque, Bolo Hauz Mosque, known for its wood columns that surround Lab-i Hauz complex by madrasahs, and the wonderful vaulted trading bazaars. Overnight in Bukhara.
9th Day Bukhara
This morning we visit the ancient city Paikent the. Still under excavation by archaeologist Return visit to Bukhara summer palace of the last emir Bukhara, the mausoleum of Bakhauddin Naqshbandi, the 14th of the Naqshbandiya century founder of the Sufi Order. Overnight in Bukhara.
10th Day Bukhara Ayaz Kala
After breakfast drive to Ayaz Kala on Kizilkum desert. In Turtkul visit the museum on the ancient Zoroastrian settlements Khorezm. On arrival at Ayaz Kala visit the ruins. Overnight in yurts.
Day 11 Ayaz Kala Kala Khiva Topraq
After breakfast visit to Topraq Kala and then drive to Khiva. In the pm tour of Khiva. Visit Ichan-Qala: Muhammad Amin madrasah, Kalta Minar, Kunya Ark, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, Islam Khodja complex, Friday Mosque, Tash Hovli palace. Overnight in Khiva.
12th Khiva-day Dashoguz-Ashgabat
This morning we cross into Turkmenistan. Ashgabad from Dashoguz take flight, the capital of Turkmenistan. Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 13 Ashgabad
Tour of Ashgabat includes visit to the National Museum of History and Ethnography, which has a rich collection of ancient artifacts from Turkmenistan. More than 500,000 exhibits are shown in 9 halls. The highlight of the museum is a collection of ivory, discovered during excavations in the Old Nissa, the residence of the kings of the Parthian dynasty Arshakid. Then at the excavation site of Nyssa including the remains of the old and new Nissa visit. The city was an important center of the Parthian state, the 3rd from the Century BC existed until 3 Century AD. Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 14 Ashgabat-Mary-Gonur Depe
This morning take the flight to Mary and continue Gonur-Depe. The legendary Russian archaeologist Viktor Sarianidi has worked at this amazing place since 1972. He has confirmed that Gonur Depe, dated at 3000 BCE, one of the oldest, if not the oldest, Zoroastrian (fire-worship) civilization. Overnight in Mary.
Day 15 Mary-Merv-Mary-Ashgabat
After breakfast, visit the site of ancient Merv, an amazing historical treasure-house and the capital of the Parthian province of Margiana. Among the ruins are the grave of Sultan Sanjar and the Erk-Kala fortress. Back to Mary and in the afternoon visit the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum, see a collection of archaeological artifacts from the ruins of ancient Merv. Evening flight to Ashgabad.Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 16 Ashgabat
Early morning transfer to the airport for the return flight.
