Thefavourite holiday in Uzbekistan is Nowruz (New Day or New Year). Nowruz is widespread throughout central Asia as the day of peace and love celebrated. In Uzbekistan, was renovated in 1989. Nowruz is also a celebration of traditional games, music and theater festivals and lush colorful fairs.
Muslim holiday Khait-two or three days of celebration at the end of Ramadan (the month of daytime fasting). These are the days of family visits, gifts and donations to the poor.

Language The official language is Uzbek (a Turkish group of tabs). From very ancient times the local population had their own written language - the alphabet Urhun to 8 Century. After the Arab invasion in the 8th Century, the Arabic alphabet was introduced. It was up to 1929.
