Uzbekistan travel and trip

 It, the same as and in previous article, allocates the basic interests of China:

    • Struggle against terrorism, separatism and extremism;

    • safety Maintenance in frontier areas;

    • stability Maintenance in all region;

    • Assistance to its economic development;

    • nedopushchenie the exclusive control over TSA from the states hostile to China, and also creation in region of the military unions having the Antichinese orientation;

    • Creation of conditions for access to region power resources.

      Main objective of the relation of China with Kazakhstan is the power sphere in which dynamic development is visible. Now there is pipeline Atasu-Alashanku building, also China has acquired the right to an oil recovery, considerable successes have reached in sphere of trade and economic relations, zones of free trade are created.

      Interests of China in Turkmenistan are limited to only power sphere, but after S.Niyazov's sudden death, China has been anxious, as was afraid, that the new president will change a foreign policy course, and will start to approach with Europe and Russia, but K.Berdymuhamedov continues a course of the predecessor.

      In relations with Uzbekistan development of relations in power sphere too prevails, but development of relations in safety sphere (struggle against terrorism, separatism and extremism) in connection with which some agreements have been signed takes place. It is favourable to China for restraint of an Uigur problem in what Uzbekistan has succeeded unlike the neighbours, having forbidden formation of any political associations.

12 - Museum of victims of repression
Memorial to the victims of repression in Tashkent
Uzbekistan, a country that informs a strict control over information about current events, takes tentative steps toward an exploration of its recent past. A new museum in Tashkent is dedicated to raising awareness about the repression during the tsarist and Soviet eras.

In the first years of independence Uzbekistan, stressed the official policy of the renewal of the old national traditions through the study of the recent past. The focus began in mid-1999 with the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution change to "perpetuate the memory of those who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of their people and the people. "In a country where public discourse is still dictated from the top down, the resolution set out the framework for public discussion about" victims of colonialism "and" victims of the repression. "

The resolution in 1999 led directly to the opening of the museum of the victims of repression. The museum is located in the new Martyrs' Memorial complex, which honors those who suffered from Russian and Soviet colonial rule. The blue-domed building contains exhibits of the recent history of the area, which now consists of Uzbekistan, of the first Russian attacks against the Khanate of Khiva (a powerful state captured from the 16th century to Russia in 1873) with the "cotton affair" of 1980s.

Many exhibits culled draw on information from the former KGB archives - offers the public unprecedented commitment in the records of the former Soviet secret police. Nevertheless, curators have been careful to limit the scope of the exhibits. For example, only the names of victims in various displays are displayed. The identities of the perpetrators are not mentioned.

Displays are arranged in chronological order. The first set of exhibits provides general information about the historical era of the "Great Game" between the British and Russian Empires for control of Central Asia played. In the next series of showcases, the purpose of the museum comes into better focus as individuals in the 19 Century anti-tsarist uprisings in Andijan and Tashkent participated listed by name, and tendered their fate: some were hanged, exiled or sent to another prison.
