The State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan is one of the largest museums of Central Asia, founded in 1918 on the basis of a small collection of 500 works. These were the works of Russian and Western European art such as painting, sculpture, decorative furniture, porcelain and bronze.

The most valuable exhibits of ancient and early medieval art of Uzbekistan presented in the exhibition of the museum, they are architectural decor, embroidery, carpets, fabrics, copper stamping manufactures, golden handicrafts, jewelry and other works of art.
